Submission: If I could get a $2000, hard to find, extremely limited doll bootlegged for $300, I’d do it. I don’t care what anyone else thinks - I’m doing it for my own enjoyment, and they’d never know the difference anyway!Image Credit: Charlotte.L on Flickr.

true that, no one could tell. but it is such a great disrespect toward the ones who make a living out of making and selling those! it slightly makes me want to cut your throat open :)
considering it is a dream of mine to make a living by making dolls, it really makes me cringe to think someone could make money out of MY creation and cheap morons would encourage them by buying the bootlegs! >(

Cut their throat open? Really? You don’t think that’s a bit much for an opinion?  Let me answer that for you, yes it’s a bit much. It’s a lot much. You don’t see the creators of Coach or Prada going around and telling people they want to cut open their throat for buying a knock off bag.
Is it wrong to bootleg and copy dolls yes, and not all that safe, but there is nothing you can do to stop it as there are always going to be people out there who want the dolls for a low price so there are always going to be people out there to make the dolls and sell them at a low price. If you want to make dolls for a living then do that, do it well, and do it right! The most you can do for the bootleg problem is not to contribute or and encourage others not to do the same, knowing and awareness is half the battle.
